This program allows for the development and enhancement of conflict resolution skills, with an emphasis on the role of the third party neutral. The program focuses on the mediation of  family matters, primarily issues surrounding divorce. This certified training meets the requirements of the Florida Supreme Court for Certification as a Family Mediator. Please note that all participants must also complete the application and mentorship requirements of the Florida Dispute Resolution Center beyond this training in order to be certified. All training participants will receive a set of comprehensive materials in the Family Mediator's Manual.  Snacks and beverages will be served daily. This program allows for the development and enhancement of conflict resolution skills, with an emphasis on the role of the third party neutral. The program focuses on the mediation of dependency matters, primarily issues surrounding allegations of child abuses, adjudication of dependency, and the development of case plans with parent(s) and the Department of Children and Families. This certified training meets the requirements of the Florida Supreme Court for Certification as a Dependency Mediator. Please note that all participants must also complete the application and mentorship requirements of the Florida Dispute Resolution Center beyond this training in order to be certified. All training participants will receive a set of comprehensive materials in the Dependency Mediator's Manual.  Snacks and beverages will be served daily. Advanced Mediation Course 2010 DATES: tba Cost: $400.00 Comfort Suites Baymeadows - Jacksonville, Florida This two day advanced mediation training program allows for the development and enhancement of conflict resolution skills for the experienced practitioner. The first day will include discussion of various advanced mediation techniques. The second day will include the application of these techniques to a case study that focuses on the mediation of a complicated family conflict, which can include domestic violence, power imbalances, parental alienation, communication barriers, and determination of children's needs. This training meets partial CME requirements. All training participants will receive a set of comprehensive materials. Snacks and beverages will be served daily. This program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Ethics and Domestic Violence Training Program 2010 DATES: tba Cost: $150.00 Comfort Suites Baymeadows - Jacksonville, Florida This one day mediation training program focuses specifically on domestic violence and ethics issues within the mediation context. This training meets partial CME requirements. All training participants will receive a set of comprehensive materials. Snacks and beverages will be served daily.
